BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Consumer Products Manufacturers Association Inc. (CPMA) has found a solution it thinks will make source tagging a much more common practice -- a system that can accommodate three different types of electronic article surveillance (EAS) tags.
Because of the existence of three EAS technologies many suppliers have been reluctant to embrace source tagging, since it often requires them to keep multiple inventories to accommodate the various systems employed by drug chains and other retailers.
